Why I createD THESE CONTENT WORKSHOPS
I crafted thESE WORKSHOPS because I COULDN’T FIND ANOTHER LUXURY WORKSHOP LIKE IT…
When I started my business, I scoured the market for content workshops that offered the editorial aesthetic I desired for my brand (think; Vogue, Harper’s BAZAAR, Tatler!). But I came up empty-handed. So, I took matters into my own hands and organised a luxury shoot. That content booked an entire wedding season and a feature in The Lane. It was a real pinch me moment.
Now, I'm thrilled to offer a luxury content workshop that gives you the chance to shoot the kind of content that will attract your ideal client: editorial fashion, impeccable style, and luxurious details.
I've teamed up with a group of top-tier vendors and secured an amazing location that will set the perfect backdrop for the workshop. TELL ME A BIT ABOUT THE EDITORIAL CONTENT WORKSHOP
The editorial content workshop is hosted by Lei Lei Clavey Education with collaborators Fox and Mae and leading fashion stylist.
The workshop will be held in Melbourne, on the Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 for a full day.
Participants are limited to 8-12 attendees, to ensure that everyone has ample shooting time and access to industry experts and the luxury content.
Make your own way to the content workshop, bringing your own photography gear and join us to shoot editorial content including ceremony and reception styling, fashion and stationery details.
I will provide art direction and demonstrations on how I shoot and pose couples to get the editorial look as well as how I shoot styling details. Professional models will be on site for editorial fashion portraits and couple portraits, including sunset portraits.
The workshop includes lunch / light snacks and opportunities to chat and catch up with other creatives in our industry.
An opt-in dinner/drinks after the workshop is available as an add-on to those that are interested. I think we’ll all need a vino after being on our feet all day!
Does it matter if I already have a wedding photography business/am not new to the game?
Not at all! The workshop is suitable for established photographers looking to niche into the editorial wedding client and get out of their comfort zone shooting in a different style. The workshop is also suitable for photography beginners, looking to launch their own brand with luxury content.
CAN PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS ATTEND?
Yes, the content workshop is open to both photographers and videographers looking to shoot editorial content for their brand.
HOW CAN I USE THE CONTENT?
There is no limit! Go nuts! You can use any content shot and edited in your style to your hearts content. You can use the content for a rebrand, in your portfolio, client guides, website and across social channels.
With such an amazing team of vendors, it makes sense to share the love and credit the creatives who made this workshop possible. Therefore, our only request is that you respectively tag and credit vendors on all channels.
Prior to the day, I will share a list of vendors involved so that any BTS shot and shared to social channels on the day of the workshop can be appropriately credited.

WHO ARE THE COLLABORATORS
Editorial Wedding Photographer: Lei Lei Clavey
Lei Lei Clavey is an Editorial Wedding Photographer based in Australia, shooting internationally. With a background in fashion photography and marketing, she launched a thriving wedding photography business and has been featured in Vogue, The Lane, The Wed, The Bridal Journey and Anti-Bride (to name a few).
Event Stylist: Angela Laird from Fox and Mae
Fox and Mae is a premium events company and one of Melbourne’s top creative stylists. Angela and her team offer event styling, floristry, stationery and event co-ordination.
WILL THE WORKSHOP ALSO INCLUDE EDUCATION?
The content workshop is intended as an opportunity for you to shoot incredible content, rather than a business / education workshop. My priority is to ensure you maximise your shooting time and give your opportunities to shoot variety so that your portfolios are exploding with editorial shots.
During the workshop I will share tips on how I shoot on a wedding day and demonstrate how to pose couples and shoot styling details. If you would like to know more about editing, workflow processes, closing an ideal client, marketing and social media, I offer 1:1 mentoring sessions here.
HOW DO I GET TO THE CONTENT WORKSHOP LOCATION?
Prior to the content workshop, I will share tips on how to arrive safely on the day. The location is inner city Melbourne and accessible by bus, Uber and taxi. Please note that transport to and from your accommodation to the content workshop is not included in the workshop.
I’m coming from interstate, do you have any tips for me?
I would recommend booking accommodation in Melbourne’s CBD or inner east (Hawthorn, Kew, Richmond, Collingwood).
I don’t think you need to hire a car, so long as you are comfortable with public transport or catching Uber/taxi to the shoot location.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Your camera gear including camera bodies (digital and film), lenses, batteries, flash, charges, film etc. We will not be providing any technical equipment on the day.
Warm clothing (layers!), appropriate comfortable footwear (no stilettos we will be at an historic home), wet weather gear for shooting outside, your own reusable water bottle, keep cup, notepad etc.
WILL FOOD AND SNACKS BE PROVIDED?
A delicious lunch and light snacks will be provided during the workshop. Please bring your own reusable water bottle and keep cup if you have it (every little bit counts!).
Please notify us of any dietary requirements in advance of the workshop.
HOW MANY SHOOTS WILL THERE BE?
There will be at least five content stations. We have organised the day so there are multiple shooting stations going at once so no one is waiting around.
WHAT KINDS OF SHOOTS ARE THEY?
The workshop will include ceremony and reception styling, fashion and stationery details as well as professional models for bridal and couple portraits.
PRO TIP: Think about the type of shots you want to capture on the day for your portfolio or social media. It can’t hurt to have a shot list, as well as some challenges to push yourself creatively. Maybe you want to get out of your comfort zone and shoot a different style / test out a trend or finesse your existing style or have a play with that film camera you haven’t touched. Shooting with intention, will allow you to get the most out of the day.
will there be couple shoots?
Yes, there will be professional models (male and female) so there will be so there will be opportunity to shoot just a female model and also couple portraits.
ARE YOU PLANNING SUNSET PORTRAITS?
Yes, sunset is at 5:07pm and we intend to start shooting sunset portraits late afternoon.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
One word. Melbourne.
Rain in June isn’t out of the question. As part of our planning, we’ve made contingencies for showers and most of our shoot will be held inside the beautiful venue.
As with most historical buildings, they can be quite chilly. Please ensure you dress warmly with additional layers/wet-weather gear for when shooting outside on the mansion grounds.
what isn’t included in the content workshop?
I do not include transport to/from your accomodation or any photography equipment.
The opt-in dinner, is not included in the workshop price as I’m aware not everyone will be able to stay on with us (I hope most of you can though!).
Please ensure you have your own personal or business insurance in place prior the shoot.
